Indications

Loperamide Hydrochloride 2 mg capsules are indicated for acute diarrhoea, symptomatic treatment of acute episodes of diarrhoea associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Ingredients

Active Ingredient (per tablet): Loperamide Hydrochloride 2 mg. Inactive ingredients: Corn Starch, Lactose Hydrate, Capsule, Colloidal Silicon Dioxide.

Directions

Adults only : Two capsules (4 mg) initially, followed by one capsule (2 mg) after each loose stool. The usual dose is 3-4 capsules (6 mg – 8 mg) a day. The total daily dose should not exceed 6 capsules (12 mg).

Do not use Loperamide if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Loperamide Hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of Loperamide.

You should not use Loperamide and tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breast-feeding.
